Company has unveiled the pricing of new Ertiga- MPV. The vehicle is available at an introductory price of INR 5.89 lakhs and goes up to INR 8.45 lakhs. Ertiga will be available in diesel as well as petrol variants. With the new MPV, company has introduced the new K-14 1.4 —L petrol engine in India. Company has termed the vehicle as Life Utility Vehicle.

Suzuki recently debuted it’s all new A:Wind at 2013 Thailand International Motor Show. The vehicle will be officially replacing the existing Maruti Suzuki A-Star in India. The concept model shown at the motor show previews the design that belongs to a global A-segment vehicle. The vehicle is well proportioned at 3,600mm. This move was important as Hyundai has already made its i10 bigger than before.

Macquarie Cut Maruti to Neutral

Macquarie cuts Maruti Suzuki from ‘outperform’ to ‘neutral’ and reduces its target price from Rs. 1850 to Rs. 1,525, stating continual decline in sales of passenger cars and discounts on models. Due to the decreased demand for small cars and passenger vehicles, Macquarie had to cut target price and downgrade Maruti India Limited.

Even the investment bank reduces its fiscal sales prediction for the brand by 5.7%. Macquarie said higher discounts and weak Indian rupee counterpart the beneficial effect to Maruti from a weaker yen (Japanese currency).

The shares of Maruti Suzuki were up 0.3% at Rs 1, 548.75 at 1pm.
